Please beware of the Copyright Infringement Cowboy operators, who steal toy figure designs and who practice illegal, back street "garage" recasting and illegal copying and theft of products from genuine retailers.
They often give their products false range or company or phony Business names, and offer no genuine bone fide origin or provenance for their so called creative works.
We have become all too aware of the dishonesty and fraud that is sometimes practiced by certain operators both within, ashamedly, as well as flagrantly, outside the Toy Soldier making Industry.
Intellectual Property and Copyright are applicable laws. In our country France, if you are caught making or and selling Copies, the law applies the following Penalties. A 300,000 euro Fine and up to Three years of Prison.
These ILLEGAL COPIES are often sold under fake or even original names by cowboy copiers, as "Castings" or "Original" Toy Soldiers, which they most certainly are not. We are aware of several operators within and outside the Business who are or have recently beend oing this.
THESE ACTIVITES ARE ABSOLUTELY FRAUDULENT DISHONEST AND ILLEGAL, and deny genuine bone fide toy soldier makers their rightful and properly due revenue incomes.
We perceive a particular "problem" on certain popular electronic selling platforms. We also perceive the same issues within the Hobby Community, on certain Online Forums where stolen, illegal copies are sold to other Model makers or Hobby Collectors.
We have also seen rogue traders blatantly selling HUNDREDS and Hundreds one of our toy soldier ranges at a Toy Soldier Show and from their UK shop !!!!! and know of other occassions they have done this.
If the Industry chooses to "turn the blind eye" of Nelson to illegal piracy, we do NOT here in France.
We have repeatedley contacted the Industry and so called Clubs or Societies, about a certain trader, to no avail....
As a Punishment, we REFUSE therefore to supply retailers or sellers our goods and products in that particular country until this man is tackled and made to Repay all our stolen revenues back in full.
One rogue doing this is our former "retailer" !!!!!
