Our Metal Figurine range includes a large number of both Mounted and “Foot” Knights, who wear the recognizable, Metal Armour, of Articulated Plate, Full Plate, Plate and Chain mail, and Leather jerkin coat with Mail etc.

Max Chevallier first began and started out in France at the road of the Brocouniers.

That he was to again produce Metal Knights in Armour was we may say “Fated” yes?

Broucounier in old French literelay refers to those who make objects with Metals (In English you might say the metal Smyth or Black Smith Forge). (Marchal Ferrand in old French*) .

But the Master Broucounier did much more than form and shape Metals into Knights armour and helmets or swords. They took each proportionate exact measurement, from the Lord or person who needed the armour to be made for them. The entire process apparently accorrding to some sources took around Eight weeks from the taking of the first measurements (and with some adjustment or re trying at some time possibly too) until the finished suite or arlmour plates was completed.
