Production History
How it all got started
Max Chevallier trainedin Sculpting and Mould Making during the 1990's.
He started out his Business by selling old and rare Toy Soldiers and kits he found by visitng Auctions and Car Boot Field sales.
Developing a number of suppliers, he began by selling from a mailing list, and then by using the Internet from his Apartement.
Gifted a Centrifugal Casting Machine , he purchased Materials and in 1999 produced his very first Silicone Mould and toy soldier figure, which as a Medieval Halbardier.
The first Sculpture Max ever made was a Sixth Dynasty Egyptian Warrior, as a gift to his Mother who had supported his begininng commercial venture in Making Figurines. Indeed, Mr Chevallier owes his creative skills as an Artist to his late Mother jean who was herself a skilled artists and sculptor, and who trained in Paris, where she met Max's father Claude.
Later Max purchased SARUM Soldiers Studio Figurine Range and the Former CHOTA SAHIB Figure ranges from P J D Willis who retired.
Max began successfully selling and supplying the Chota Sahib and Ex Studio Sarum Figurines (which max sold as Studio Chevallier Figurines) with bone fide genuine collectors and retailers , until, one day....somebody stole and defrauded a lot of his Business Product line.
It was our former retailer in England who stole old tools, sold illegal Piracy products and despite our official online complaints on both the Planet Figure Forum, and other sites, "nothing" has ever been done by the BMSS in the UK or anybody else to stop his blatant theft, piracy and copyright fraud.
In fact Max Chevallier was violently assaulted, robbed, beaten up and had his Motorhome and Renault van smashed up, and was actually left homeless until rescued by a kind lady who runs an associattion.
Max continues to hold the full copyright for those ranges, embodied in Legaly witnessed and signed UK Documentation from the sellers own Solicitors.
Our disgraced former retailer in the UK owes us money and interest on the lost income for the fraud he has commited. At NO TIME did ever any "sale" or transfer take place between us and that retailer.
In addittion he also owes us 4000 pounds in unpaid deliveries.
Max Chevallier has no plan or intention of "somehow giving up"any of the above purchased lines or products. And Full Payment and compensation must be received by us before any re issue or re release of those products can be arranged.
However, un deterred by this , the FABRE CHEVALLIER Family next purchased the former Fleur Baix toy Soldier Ranges from Abraham and Anastasia Simon of New Zealand.
This was a challenge, because these ranges had been neglected due to the poor health of the owner family, and it has taken time to re organize everything into shape.
S.P.A Studio paris Art VEB Miniatures now own a VERY LARGE Industrie commercial product range, of several Thousand differrent toy soldiers and Models.
We own Sarum Studio Figurines, Chota Sahib, Rosedale, Battlezone, Burlington Equestrian series, Mountford Miniautres, Under two Flags, The former ROSE Miniautres ancients series, and a large sacel Classic Figure range too, among others....
This means our workload is to put it mildly enormous!
Maxime CHEVALLIER will continue in the Industry until he is fully repaid ALL funds lost and returned all goods stolen. At some un defined future point he wishes to retire also and spend rather more time with his wife and friends.
Max is focusing right now on building up the MEDIEVAL Range parts of the Business, and upon re tooling some of the other ranges as customer interest dictates. It is envisaged to one day pass the entire Businesss "ON" to a worthy successor, who will require being trained in the Business first of all.
If one day at a future time, you'd like to become a toy soldier Producer, and wish to learn the skills and trade, please write to Max (Maxime) Chevallier giving details of your Toy Soldier Collecting Knowledge, any Relevant (Sculpting, Mould making, Casting, etc) Artistic and Practical Skills you posses, and Industry background or interest. In the first instance please write to our E Mail chevalliermaxime799@gmail.com
Studio Paris Art VEB is now online on this web site, and open for Business.
We at S.P.A Studio Paris Art VEB Miniatures, Aim to cast and re issue the Production (Catalogue) in THREE Rotations, the Third Rotation will signal the finish of the production, and it will be time by then, for any successor to then take over the reigns, as Max and his wife Maryse, Retires from the Industrie.
By this future time, not too far away, it is envisaged the below affair will have been satidfactorily resolved to our satisfaction.
We will otherwise shut down the entire business and regretfuly, DESTROY ALL TOOLING AND MASTERS.
Any Successor must be prepared to take over the complete workloads, the full toy figure and soldier ranges, Mr Chevalliers retirement time selling up of the business means you have to buy ALL OR NOTHING.
It is not fair on existing clients or the wider good of our Industry for the ranges t o be split up into small parts sold to lots of differrent (and often un skilled un trained un experienced people).
Long Long before opening Studio Paris Art, Max Chevallier used to make and sell Toy Solders and Models. We sold our Figures and Kits in several UK High Street Shops and through a number of small Business Shops and Outlets.
We had just began again in France when.....
ONE of those sadly decided to actually STEAL our old Moulds from France and started making ILLEGAL Piracy Copyright Infringement Figures, selling them as if they were approved by us to use our company name Products or business.
NAMED AND SHAMED !!!!!!!
For the avoidance of all doubt, that rogue retailer was Mr Simon Eegland of FROME Model Centre Catherine Hill FROME Somerset, and he owes a very large amount of Money indeed.
EMBARGO ON !!!!!!!
As a result of being attacked, beaten up, hunted by violent UK runaway criminals, (one of whom is a FROME man in France) his van smashed up and left homeless in the end, Max Chevallier REFUSES to sell or to supply our products to the UK Retailers, only to a small number of Private Collectors* at his Discretion.
NO Studio (ex sarum soldiers or Chota Sahib Figures) Music In Miniature or DUCAL Ranges will EVER again be available or sold to England UNLESS AND UNTIL ALL THE MONEY GOODS AND COPIED TOOLS ARE RETURNED AND REPAID IN FULL WITH COMPENSATION AND FULL PERCENTAGE OF INTEREST ACCRUING. TO US HERE IN FRANCE.
END OF STORY.

Our Story
Max Chevallier started out Casting "Tin" or Lead Soldiers with a Birthday Gift , of a Prinz August Home Casting Set. The First toy soldier he ever made, as a child, was a Prussian Infantryman, standing Firing his Musket, wearing a Tri Corn hat. Another significant Gift, earlier, from his Mother and Step Father, was the story of Matchbox Lesney Products, told through the pages of a character in a "bande Dessen" (an illustrated book). Seeing the Production process of all the Metal Toy Car Moulds and the spraying and painting greatly interested him, and ultimtely led to him taking a Artistic but Industrial Practicaly based Art Course. Sadly, unable for family reasons to complete his Diploma, Max, undetterred then took up the Business of Making and Selling Plastic Model Aeroplanes, using Vacuumforming Equipment. Later he entered the Toy Soldier World again, as a second hand independant dealer, buying and selling rare out of production Kits and toy soldier sets, firstly in Plastic from Italian and British makers, and later from makers of metal toy soldiers. In 2009 he purchased the former Sarum and the Chota Sahib toy figure ranges in 54 and 90 mm scales. Later on adding to the repetroire of products he owns and makes to sell, by buying back the former DUCAL, ROSEDALE, UNDER TWO FLAGS and Mountford Ranges among others. He lives in France in an old Castle, which he hopes to turn part of which into a Museum including a large Display of Toy Soldiers and Related items, as well as Local History.
