From River boats floating on the Nile River, to Ritual and Ceremony, and Domestic life, our Egyptian series figures truly recreate and bring to life the legend that is the eternal and Magical story of Egypt.

Many of our figures are offered as assembly kits for the collector to build and paint.

As well as separate or individual figures or kits, we offer larger "sets" of figures together.

We produce our own Toolings and Patterns, as well as offer the above ranges to our customers, we offer ourown unique range of toy soldiers, researched and built entirely "in house". As a family run Business we try very much to gurantee consistent quality, therefore  it is our firm policy to avoid "sub contracting" work out to others.

Some of our CHOTA SAHIB and Sarum Studio Figurine Ranges contain some figures which are originaly hailing from older, earlier Figurine Producers, evidently purchased by previous Business Owners and Operators prior to our acquisition, including ENSIGN Miniatures which were supplied at time of our purchase in 2009. Some of our UNDER TWO FLAGS Figures contain figures designed by Jock and Ruby Coutts for their then London Shop, and which were also sold by Limited arrangement between Jock and Len, with TROPHY Miniatures (Len Taylor) of Wales before sadly Len Passed away and the Business went into Legal Treasurey "BONAVACANTIA" Receivership.

 ROSEDALE "CHIVALRY MEDIEVAL RANGE .

“Rosedale Figurines were specialists in highly detailed historical and collectible figures. Well known for producing exquisite Chivalry miniatures, these miniatures are the finest Medieval-related Knights soldiers that have ever been produced.

The choice of individual Medieval Horses, Knights Helmets, Hand weapons, and figure poses, is very large indeed, giving the collector the ability to create a large Diorama or scene which appeals strongly to them and their audience who view their collections at home or in Museums.

Ancient Figures were also produced which we once again stock for our customers.

Our Ancient range includes Sassanid Persians, Crusaders, Romans, Gauls, Saxons Normans , and Medieval Kings and Knights

Rosedale was originaly founded by Paul Carol and Keith Dennison of Ayrshire.

They also produced Amazons, Monsters, Ancients, Romans, Gauls, Thermopylae Graeco-Persian Wars line, American Civil War (Duette line), 19th Century (The Hill – Custer’s Last Stand), WWII (refugees).. Some of the Rosedale Fantasy Figures were designed by the late Cliff Sanderson.

Some of which were sculptured by the late, and great Al Charles and larger ranges some of which were sculptured by Alan Ball. of "Greenwood and Ball" Fame. This work by Al Charles  includes the figures of the legendary King Arthur and the Kings and Knights figure series, also by Al Charles and originaly again sold through Greenwood and Balls Catalogues. The series also includes King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

Later figures were added to the range, some of which which were made by John Tassel and Norman Harrington,  of LASSET Miniatures fame.

Decades of Craftsmanship

Our Ducal figure range, featuring over 30,000 separate figures was the lifetimes work of Jack and Thelma Duc, who worked for over 30 years on the range. Jack Duc designed his Horses with William Britain's Ltd, so they look and fit compatabley into any existing collection of "Britain's" figures.

We can therefore trace the Pedigree of our range of Toy Soldiers from long ago origins, in  Border Miniatures, Greenwood and Ball, Sarum Soldiers, Chota Sahib, Rose Miniatures and others famous Hallmark names of quality in this field of work.

The Mountford 1/32 range of  Artillery Kits were originaly designed by Alain Caton. They contain very fine clean castings, engineered to fit correctly to produce a realistic likeness of the original machines and cannons. Mountford Figures, are also styled and sculpted so as to be compatable with existing collections of Britains Toy Soliders in any collectors Display cabinet.

A Cultural and Irrepaceable Historical Trasure of Form and Colour.

Here at STUDIO Paris Art we only use traditional work shop methods and practices. We do not use mass produced computerized imagery or technique to create our figures.

Traditional materials, are still used, including figure masters made from Clay.

It is worth remembering that Sid Horton, and even Monogram Miniautres of USA, also used the Clay method with great success to produce highly lifelike detailed Master figures.

Only the master craftsman Maxime Chevallier produces these Clay Master type figures and toolings , and continues to produce Metal large scale figures from these original time honoured paterns  now today. He is proud to walk in the footsteps of the great and famous Artistic names once connected to the past of the toy solider creative Industry.

ARTIST and ARTISAN.

Trained in Art from an early age, he works in his dedicated Studio to re create and re issue the Golden Age and Glory Days of the Toy Soldier and Collectable figure world and especially to make this creative hobby accessable again to young enquiring creative and artistic minds.

When defrauded by Criminals some years ago, Mr Chevallier was found homeless and abandoned. Max Chevallier found ways to keep his artistic and creative skills alive and well practiced, working on sketches, research, even visits to Museums and Historic places to take photographs. Not even Homelessness and criminals  were able to stop him in his natural interest and love of Art and Sculptural form.

During his time moving from Foyer to Shelter to his first secure home, he took every possible opportunity to visit and take photographs of interresting sites, Bastide towns, ruined Castles and Medieval Armour.

So the story of STUDIO PARIS ART VEB is not just another toy figure business vyeing for trade. No, but rather, it is the expressed personal Triumph of one determined and courageous man to overcome challenges and obstacles and surmount them. As the Art work was re born, so to was the man.

Mr Chevallier firmly believes that you should always find out, take time out and effort, to find out where your own personal strengths lie and make use of them in your daily life and work. He believes it is a truly terrible thing to go through your entire life and to never discover what your own unique skills and talents, your strengths really are and where they lie.

Making Figures from Egypt and Rome takes on a more personal satisfaction, because Maxime Chevallier is a rare case for a genuine Descent from the World of Ancient Antiquity, being a Ancestor of the House of Arnouald (Arnold) of Metz. Ancestors include the family that provided many Church Bishops for Southern France in Rodez , the house of Saint Salvi of Albi, and the old Southern Kingdom of Tolouse, on another later line through Empress Maud of France and Robert the Bruce of Scotland, He can trace his family History right back through Roman times, on one branch, as far back as Princess Arsinoe, Princess Cleopatras Sister.

That line ran up until more recent times through the House of Habsburgh, Princess Charlotte Von Strelitz, and finaly to King George of England. (The Hereditary or Fith Branch of the Herditary maison de Poitiers (or sometimes called the German branch) runs through his family into the Hereditary House of Plantagenet.

So a man once long ago descended from Ancient times, now casts, sculpts and designs figures  Kings and Queens of Europe and now makes and sells Models of Knights, Romans Egyptians, Gauls, French and European Kings and Queens.....

Combined Love of Art and History

The combined value in terms of Artistic and creative skilled work, from the founding workers in the business comes to at least approach a Hundred years worth of sculpture, painting, research and Metal Foundry Casting. !!! If you love what you do and like doing it, everything else comes along quite easily.  It is a line of work I honestly say I can enjoy as a personal Artist and creator of figures. The Modern day industry can be a hard and sometimes sharp place, and it is important to remember why we do what we do and what our own private motives are.

Making toy soldiers can therefore prove just as instinctive as real ones.

Mission

Our goal is to offer engaging, thought-provoking, and enjoyable historical figurine products in the form of models and kits that customers can enjoy to  assemble and paint.

A Creative Vision

We bring ideas to life through collaboration. We invite you to share your suggestions for new Medieval or other Ancient Era figures to develop for the Hobby Customer market place. What would you, as a figure collector and kit builder, like us to create?
