De Gaule had forces based in England during the war, where these Commandos trained in Scotland. KEFFER took part in the highly successfull raid on the Crete Maleme Airfield raid, helping dstroy the aircraft ferrying Rommels petrol to the Afrika Korps and capturing the German Officer in charge of the base and taking him back prisoner.  Later on D Day (Jour J) KEFFER landed both on the ebach and by Parachute (the night before D Day) to operate behind German enemy lines.  Our toy figures depict both the D Day soldier version and the Desert Crete raid version. A Parachute version is forthcoming to be addded.
